Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: September 23, 2026

Our Commitment

Baseline is built to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, or high-contrast display settings. Accessibility is part of how we build, not an afterthought.

Conformance Target

Baseline targets conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Every user-facing page of the application is tested against this standard in both light and dark themes.

What We Do

Concretely, the platform includes:

  • •Full keyboard operability — every action can be performed without a mouse, including a skip-to-content link and focus-managed dialogs
  • •Keyboard shortcuts and a command menu (Cmd+K or Ctrl+K) to reach any page, player or session without navigating; press ? for the full list
  • •Choice controls (theme, handedness and similar) are proper radio groups that work with arrow keys and announce the selected option
  • •Screen-reader support — scores, charts, and progress meters carry text alternatives (e.g. "Technique: 63 out of 100"), and analysis progress is announced as it happens
  • •Color contrast meeting or exceeding WCAG AA ratios in both light and dark themes
  • •Respect for reduced-motion preferences — animations are disabled when your system requests it
  • •Automated accessibility checks (axe-core) and keyboard-operability tests run against every page before changes ship

Known Limitations

Some content has inherent limits we want to be transparent about:

  • •Uploaded videos are user-generated and do not carry captions; the written analysis serves as the accessible alternative to the footage
  • •PDF exports mirror the on-screen report; the in-app report remains the most assistive-technology-friendly format
  • •Charts on the Progress page have a "Show as table" option with the same numbers for screen-reader and keyboard users

Feedback

If you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere in Baseline, please email legal@baselinecoach.app. Describe what you were trying to do, the page you were on, and the assistive technology you use. We treat accessibility reports with the same priority as functional bugs and aim to respond within 48 hours.
