Terms of Service
Last Updated: October 11, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Baseline ("Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including free (Starter) and paid (Club, Coach and Academy) subscribers.
2. Description of Service
Baseline is an AI-powered tennis video analysis platform. It analyzes uploaded video and provides automated feedback, including scores, written observations, an estimated rating range, drills, progress tracking, and answers to follow-up questions (Ask Coach). All outputs are generated entirely by artificial intelligence and are provided for informational and general training reference purposes only. AI-generated outputs are not professional coaching, are not certified or reviewed by a licensed coach, and do not constitute medical, physical therapy, biomechanical, or injury prevention advice of any kind. You assume full responsibility for how you use the feedback.
3. Eligibility (Age Requirement)
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. Users between 13 and 18 may only use the Service with permission from a parent or legal guardian. If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must accept these Terms on your behalf, is responsible for your use of the Service, and must authorize and pay for any subscription you purchase, since minors generally cannot enter binding financial contracts. We do not knowingly allow users under 13. If we become aware of such usage, we will delete the associated account and data. If you upload video of another person, such as a student or your child, you confirm you have their permission, and a parent or legal guardian's permission if they are under 18.
4. Accounts and Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree not to share your account or allow unauthorized access. We are not responsible for losses resulting from unauthorized account access due to your negligence.
5. Subscriptions, Billing, and Refunds
Paid plans are processed through Stripe. Subscription status is determined exclusively by Stripe webhooks and server-side verification. Any attempt to bypass payment or access paid features without authorization is strictly prohibited. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; a change never affects a period you have already paid for.
- •Subscriptions renew automatically, monthly or yearly depending on the billing period you choose, until canceled
- •Upgrading takes effect immediately, and you are charged the prorated difference for the rest of the current period
- •You may cancel at any time from Settings; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for, and you won't be charged again
- •If a renewal payment fails, access continues while the payment is retried. If it still can't be collected, the subscription may end
- •Monthly analysis allowances reset each calendar month and do not roll over. A video longer than 2 minutes 30 seconds uses two analyses
- •Session comparisons, Ghost Matches and Counter-Playbooks are each limited to twice your plan's monthly analyses per calendar month; ones already made stay available
- •Each plan includes a fair-use limit on AI processing per calendar month, set well above normal use and always leaving room for your plan's analyses. If an account exceeds it, new AI reports and Coach answers pause until the next month; nothing already generated is removed
- •Analysis packs are one-time purchases. Pack analyses do not expire while your account exists, are used after your monthly allowance, and have no cash value
- •Referral discounts and credits, and bonus analyses from promo codes, have no cash value and may be removed if obtained through abuse
- •All payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact legal@baselinecoach.app within 7 days
- •Payments are handled by Stripe; we do not store or have access to full payment card details
6. Acceptable Use and Anti-Abuse Policy
You agree not to:
- •Attempt to bypass usage limits or subscription restrictions
- •Reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service
- •Use automated systems to overload the platform
- •Upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content
- •Resell or redistribute analyses without permission
7. Video Content and License
You retain ownership of videos you upload and of your written inputs. By uploading content, you grant Baseline a limited, non-exclusive license to process it solely to provide the Service. Videos are sent to Google Gemini for AI analysis, and individual frames may be measured on our servers to check body position. Videos are deleted from our servers and from Gemini file storage when processing finishes. The resulting reports are stored in your account. Shot labels you correct are used to improve future analyses of the same player in your account.
7a. Sharing and Social Features
You control share links for reports and player progress, and you can turn them off at any time. Links never include your private session notes, ages or heights, and you can preview what a link shows. You can hide any player from friends, and you can invite a coach to selected players with permissions you choose and can withdraw at any time. A coach's notes and assigned drills are stored with your account and removed when you delete it; deleting a coach's own account removes the notes they wrote. If you add friends, they can see your name and profile photo (the one you chose in Settings, or your Google photo if you signed in with Google), a summary of your sessions (player name, video name, score and the start of the report summary), and your duels and matches with them. People who are not your friends never see your photo. If a friend on the Coach or Academy plan runs Ghost Match or Counter-Playbook against you, those features read your full report on our servers to produce their result, and the friend sees that result, not your report. You are responsible for comments and other content you post. We may remove content, or restrict social features, for abuse.
8. Copyright Infringement (DMCA)
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on or transmitted through the Service infringes your copyright, please send a notice to legal@baselinecoach.app with: (1) a description of the copyrighted work, (2) identification of the allegedly infringing material, (3) your contact information, (4) a statement of good faith belief that the use is unauthorized, and (5) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf. We will respond to valid DMCA notices in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act.
9. AI Output Disclaimer: Please Read Carefully
IMPORTANT: All analysis, feedback, scores, ratings, and recommendations generated by Baseline are produced entirely by artificial intelligence and are provided for general informational purposes only. By using this Service, you expressly acknowledge and agree to all of the following:
- •AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or incorrect, including but not limited to misidentification of players, incorrect shot classification, inaccurate scoring, and fabricated or hallucinated observations
- •AI outputs do NOT constitute professional tennis coaching, certified instruction, medical advice, physical therapy, biomechanical assessment, or injury prevention guidance of any kind
- •AI outputs are NOT reviewed, verified, or endorsed by any licensed coach, sports scientist, physician, or other qualified professional
- •You should NOT make significant changes to your training regimen, technique, or physical activity based solely on AI-generated feedback
- •You MUST consult a qualified tennis coach or licensed medical professional before making substantial changes to your training, particularly if you have any existing injuries or physical conditions
- •Baseline makes NO warranty, express or implied, that AI outputs are accurate, suitable for your specific needs, or free of error
- •Baseline expressly disclaims all liability for any injuries, health outcomes, physical harm, financial loss, or other damages arising directly or indirectly from your reliance on AI-generated outputs
- •Use of AI-generated feedback is entirely at your own risk
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BASELINE AND ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: PERSONAL INJURY, PHYSICAL HARM, OR BODILY INJURY; LOSS OF DATA; LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE; OR ANY DAMAGES RESULTING FROM RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED ANALYSIS, FEEDBACK, SCORES, OR RECOMMENDATIONS. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL FEES YOU PAID TO BASELINE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $10 USD. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY; IN SUCH CASES, OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
11. Warranty Disclaimer
THE SERVICE AND ALL AI-GENERATED OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED 'AS IS' AND 'AS AVAILABLE' WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY THAT AI OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, SUITABLE FOR YOUR NEEDS, OR FREE OF ERRORS OR OMISSIONS.
12. Service Availability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. Features may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time with or without notice.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive or fraudulent behavior. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections covering liability, disclaimers, and dispute resolution survive termination.
14. Dispute Resolution and Binding Arbitration
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY: IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if they qualify. The arbitration will be conducted in the State of Delaware. You and Baseline each waive any right to a jury trial. This arbitration agreement does not apply to claims for injunctive relief to protect intellectual property rights.
15. Class Action Waiver
You and Baseline agree that each may bring claims against the other only in your or its individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, consolidated, or representative action. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any class or representative proceeding.
16. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
